Marine Personnel & Digital Systems Project Specialist

About the role

Join Wilhelmsen Ship Management’s global team in Kuala Lumpur to lead and deliver digital projects that support marine personnel operations. You will manage projects from concept through implementation, ensuring smooth transition to business‑as‑usual.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from idea, scoping, implementation, stabilization and BAU.
• Define objectives, scope, requirements, timelines, deliverables and success measures.
• Develop and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and actions.
• Facilitate business requirements gathering and support process and solution design with operational teams, IT and vendors.
• Coordinate stakeholders, provide clear updates on progress, risks, decisions and next steps.
• Manage project changes and assess impact on scope, timelines, processes, users and operations.
• Coordinate testing, UAT, training, communications and go‑live readiness.
• Oversee post‑go‑live hyper‑care and ensure structured transition into BAU support.
• Maintain project documentation, dashboards, status reporting and governance records.
• Capture lessons learned and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, digitalisation and automation.

Required profile

• Structured, organised and comfortable taking ownership.
• Strong communicator and stakeholder manager.
• Analytical, solution‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in project management and stakeholder management.
• Understanding of change management, testing, implementation and operational readiness.
• Ability to turn business needs into clear requirements and actionable plans.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally when required.
