Senior / Staff Embedded Software Engineer – Hardware Solutions

About the role

Join Bosch Cross-Domain Computing Solutions in Penang to develop embedded firmware for automotive hardware products. You will work closely with global teams to deliver high‑quality software that meets customer and manufacturing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop embedded firmware for Bosch products, interfacing with test systems via Serial, Ethernet, and USB.
• Collaborate with firmware teams in Malaysia and Germany to achieve common product goals.
• Support HW‑SW integration, bring‑up, and troubleshooting at global manufacturing sites.
• Provide post‑production support, failure analysis, and technical documentation.
• Perform requirement, design, and code reviews, unit testing, and software releases following Bosch processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronic Engineering.
• Proven experience in embedded software development and hands‑on work with Real‑Time Operating Systems (RTOS).

Required skills

• Strong programming in C.
• Knowledge of C++, C#, Python, Java.
• Experience with microcontrollers, COTS SoC platforms, and ARM architecture.
• Familiarity with peripheral interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, USB, MII.
• Ability to read schematics and component datasheets.
