Head of Business Development – East Asia

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Business Development for the East Asia region to lead growth initiatives within the forex and fintech sectors. This remote position will focus on expanding strategic partnerships, driving Introducing Broker (IB) performance, and guiding a high‑performing team across China, Malaysia or Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive IB performance and market growth across China, meeting revenue, volume and expansion targets.
• Develop and execute a strategic growth plan tailored to the Chinese market.
• Lead, mentor and inspire a team of Business Development Managers, setting clear KPIs and ensuring accountability.
• Identify, secure and nurture new and existing strategic partnerships.
• Collaborate with Customer Support, Dealing, Payments, Product and Compliance teams to align regional initiatives.
• Analyse partner performance, market trends and key metrics to uncover growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics or a related field.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English for commercial and strategic discussions.
• Minimum 5 years of Business Development and IB management experience in Forex or Fintech, with at least 2‑3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to coach and develop high‑performing teams.
• Strong relationship‑management and negotiation skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for reporting and data analysis.
