Finance Manager – School Finance Leader

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the finance function for Straits International School Rawang, overseeing day‑to‑day financial operations, reporting and compliance. This senior position partners with the Campus Principal and regional finance team to ensure accurate financial management and strategic support for the school’s educational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all finance activities including record‑to‑report, accounts payable/receivable, cash flow, tax compliance and finance business partnering.
• Prepare and analyse profit & loss, balance sheet, deferred income, accruals, provisions, revenue recognition and capital expenditure.
• Coordinate statutory audits, liaise with external auditors and ensure timely submission of audit and tax filings.
• Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts and monitor OPEX and CAPEX against approved plans.
• Oversee treasury functions, cash collection targets, cash flow projections and maintain adequate insurance coverage.
• Provide financial insights to school senior leadership, identify process improvements and support automation of reporting.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with internal leaders, auditors, tax consultants, bankers and regulators.
• Lead a finance team, reporting directly to the Campus Principal and collaborating with the Regional Financial Controller.
