Finance Controller - Assembly & Test Operations

About the role

NXP is looking for a Malaysia Finance Controller for its Assembly & Test (A&T) operations in Kuala Lumpur. The role controls all aspects of operations finance, including financial planning and analysis, internal control and compliance with NXP accounting policy. It is a director-level position reporting directly to the Global A&T Controller and functionally to the Factory General Manager, and also leads strategic transformation, site expansion, harmonization processes and the development of a centralized business analytics team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead collaboration across the factory with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver financial results, compliance and cost improvements.
• Manage the team, set goals, run performance appraisals, coach talent and act as an organizational resource.
• Drive monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasts, budgets, productivity planning and performance analysis, aligned with corporate cost savings, productivity and efficiency goals.
• Execute transformation projects and A&T-wide harmonization processes.
• Partner with Site SCO on demand, resources and CAPEX, and with Site HR on hiring and headcount.
• Work with Manufacturing on continuous improvement and analyze data to support strategic planning.
• Define FP&A strategy, standards and compliance with the A&T Central Finance and global finance teams, and act as finance partner for strategic expansion.
• Take heavy involvement in BE1MES standardization projects (CAMSTAR, LOV, EMV, etc.).

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting or Management (MBA is a plus).
• 5 years of significant professional experience in semiconductor manufacturing with senior managerial exposure.
• Excellent business partnering and stakeholder influencing skills, and fluent English with at least one regional language.
• Self-starter able to prioritize workload in a fast-paced, globally complex environment.
