Credit Management & Collection Intern

About the role

Givaudan is looking for a Credit Management & Collection Intern in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. The intern assists in reviewing customer accounts, supports the team in managing accounts, tracks outstanding payments and helps with timely collections, while learning credit reviews, payment issues and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Credit management: review and monitor customer creditworthiness using financial statements, credit reports and payment history, and support basic financial analysis to spot potential risks.
• Learn credit reviews and assist in evaluating customer credit limits, following company policies and proper documentation.
• Support the collection process and contact customers about outstanding payments and account status.
• Take part in calls or meetings with customers and stakeholders, and help investigate reasons for non-payment or disputes.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Able to complete a 6-month internship, preferably in the final semester.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with good written and verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn credit and collections processes and to work collaboratively in a team.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial or reporting tools is a plus.
• Ability to interpret basic financial information.
