Associate Finance Manager – MedTech

About the role

The Associate Finance Manager will partner closely with commercial leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders to drive financial performance, strategic decision‑making, and business growth for the Surgery business in Malaysia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning cycles in partnership with local, regional and global finance teams.
• Provide financial leadership and decision support by identifying growth opportunities, investment priorities, risks and performance drivers.
• Drive business performance analysis through sales reporting, pricing/rebate governance, gross profit evaluations, price‑volume analysis, portfolio reviews and operating expense management.
• Partner with Commercial Excellence and business leaders to incorporate market trends, competitive intelligence, reimbursement dynamics and customer insights into financial planning.
• Support portfolio investment decisions and resource allocation to maximise growth, profitability and ROI.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and commercial partners on demand planning, inventory management and Integrated Business Planning processes.
• Ensure financial governance and compliance with internal controls, company policies, SOX, HCC, FCPA, tax, statutory and audit requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Accounting or related discipline; professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MBA) preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in commercial finance, healthcare, pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
• Strong financial planning and analysis capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, business planning and P&L management.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and support strategic decisions through data‑driven insights.
• Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and problem‑solving skills with fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP and planning systems such as SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with Anaplan or equivalent planning platforms.
