Business Development Manager - APAC

About the role

Motive Offshore Group delivers equipment rental, manufacturing and Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) services across the global energy industry. The Business Development Manager - APAC is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and works with the Head of Business Development to build new client relationships, gather market intelligence and create a qualified pipeline for Key Account Managers and Sales teams. The role takes ownership of business development across the growing APAC division.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional business development plan for APAC aligned with Motive's strategic priorities
• Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities across Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Brunei and the wider APAC region
• Maintain an accurate Salesforce pipeline and track leads in the CRM system
• Build relationships with global operators, vessel contractors, drilling contractors, asset owners and regulators, presenting the TIC and rental offering
• Support market entry plans through market intelligence and competitor analysis
• Lead assigned Development Accounts and support proposals, strategic tenders, MSAs and framework agreements
• Work with Operations, Engineering and Contracts to deliver integrated solutions, represent the group at industry events and promote cross-selling

Required profile

• Significant business development, commercial and/or operational experience in Testing, Inspection & Certification or offshore energy
• APAC business development experience with an existing client base
• Commercial awareness and contract knowledge
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Experience in the subsea sector, especially flexible flowline/umbilical installation

Required skills

• CRM experience, preferably Salesforce
• Experience with MSAs, framework agreements and strategic tenders
• Knowledge of Rystad Energy
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
