AI Digital Transformation Engineer

Job description
About the role
The AI Digital Transformation Engineer supports the design, implementation and adoption of AI-driven solutions that accelerate digital transformation. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the engineer turns projects into working tools, works directly with the CEO Asia, builds and configures solutions personally, and works with technology partners and consultants where buying makes more sense than building. The role suits someone passionate about AI who wants their work used every day by real teams.
Key responsibilities
- Document control: take part in selecting the document control system, lead its rollout, configure workflows, migrate documents and train users, and build AI automation for registering, classifying, checking and distributing documents.
- Payroll automation for Thailand: work with the Thai payroll team to understand the current process, design and build a secure tool that removes manual work, with data protection built in.
- Applicant tracking: develop AI features with the software vendor so CV screening and ranking are more accurate for recruiters.
- Maintenance engineering and business development support: support technology partnerships bringing AI and digital tools to client services, and support internal research tools for the business development team.
- IT infrastructure and partner management: specify, set up and maintain hardware and hosting, including local AI models where appropriate; decide what to build in-house versus outsource; brief, follow and review external consultants and vendors; document, train users, collect feedback and improve tools after go-live.
Required profile
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
- 1 to 4 years of experience; company experience is welcome, but personal, academic or internship projects are also valued if they can be shown working.
- At least one AI solution implemented for real users, with the ability to explain what was built, why and what went wrong.
- Advantageous: exposure to oil and gas, energy or engineering services, and experience working with external vendors or consultants.
Required skills
- Advantageous: RAG (retrieval over company documents), AI agents, workflow automation tools, document management systems, payroll or HR software.
