BIM Engineer – MEP Modelling (Electrical)

About the role

We are looking for a BIM Engineer to support project teams by creating, coordinating and delivering high‑quality BIM models for MEP services, with a focus on electrical design. The role is based in Petaling Jaya and works closely with design engineers, site teams and clients to ensure constructability and compliance with Aurecon standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM models across disciplines, concentrating on MEP services.
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and lead coordination review meetings.
• Facilitate BIM and coordination meetings with consultants, clients and internal teams.
• Ensure models and outputs follow project BIM standards, workflows and the BIM Execution Plan.
• Design and model mechanical or electrical services using Revit.
• Produce accurate, coordinated drawings and BIM outputs for MEP services.
• Support continuous improvement of BIM processes and best practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Minimum 2 years of design experience in Electrical Engineering with a strong BIM focus.
• Experience delivering building projects such as commercial, residential, mixed‑use or healthcare.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience using Revit for MEP modelling and documentation.
• Working knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection.
• Familiarity with BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Good understanding of BIM standards, workflows and coordination processes.
