VP, Head of Digital Engineering, APAC

About the role

Lead the end‑to‑end technology development and engineering of the Zurich Edge Platform, driving digital business growth across APAC. Ensure platform scalability, speed to market and SaaS delivery while maintaining secure, reliable production operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own application development, deployment and production operations for the Zurich Edge Platform.
• Define and execute the technology and engineering roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Lead and develop high‑performing engineering teams.
• Drive SaaS agenda focusing on platform scalability, reuse and delivery efficiency.
• Establish strong engineering, DevOps, CI/CD and Agile practices for multi‑country deployments.
• Provide technical oversight across architecture, design, development and technology selection.
• Ensure robust information security, monitoring, observability and production reliability.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks and tools to continuously improve capabilities.
• Partner with senior business and technology stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into delivery.

Required profile

• 10+ years of technology/software engineering experience, including senior leadership roles.
• Owned a major platform end‑to‑end with measurable business impact.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and large‑scale digital platforms.
• Strong senior stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience in financial services, insurance or regulated industries is advantageous.
