Vendor Management Manager

About the role

Wilhelmsen Ship Management is seeking a Vendor Management Manager to lead its vendor onboarding, compliance and lifecycle processes. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will work within a global maritime team, ensuring that vendors meet rigorous standards and support the company’s operational and sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee vendor onboarding and lifecycle management in line with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISAE 3402, TMSA, sanctions‑free and Group standards.
• Lead, mentor and train the Vendor Management team to maintain high service quality and technical capability.
• Plan, prioritize and manage projects to ensure timely delivery of vendor‑related initiatives.
• Represent Vendor Management during external audits, drive corrective actions and close audit findings.
• Identify compliance gaps, initiate remediation and continuously improve vendor workflows through automation.
• Maintain an accurate vendor master database and execute rolling vendor assessments and audits.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Legal, HSQE and Procurement to align vendor activities with strategic procurement and sustainability objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of procurement‑related experience.
• Strong leadership and team‑player mindset.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Proven experience dealing with external auditors and regulators.

Required skills

• Good understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISAE 3402 and TMSA standards.
• Competence in the MS Office suite.
