Technician II – Molding & Tooling Production Operations

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Technician II to support molding and tooling production operations in its Johor manufacturing facility. The role involves operating and maintaining molding equipment, performing quality inspections, and ensuring smooth changeovers while adhering to strict health, safety and data‑integrity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, assemble and set‑up optical tools, perform PON targeting, line clearance and UV readings.
• Execute mold cosmetic inspections and bubble checks on dry lenses.
• Operate molding automation, diagnose faults and maintain accurate documentation.
• Carry out mold changes, PON changeovers and mechanical/negative checks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve production issues and uphold Alcon’s quality standards.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma (fresh graduates accepted).
• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotational shifts on a weekly basis.
• Commitment to Alcon’s values, code of conduct, data‑integrity and health‑safety procedures.

Required skills

• Optical tool inspection and assembly.
• PON set‑up, targeting and changeover.
• UV reading and mechanical/negative checks.
• Molding automation operation and fault troubleshooting.
