Team Lead, Sales

About the role

AirAsia Aviation Management Services is looking for a Team Lead, Sales in Kuching, Sarawak. The role supervises the day-to-day activities of Sales Officers at the counter, supports them with sales coaching and ensures the team meets its monthly sales targets and weekly targets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of Sales Officers and coach them on sales activities at the counter, such as selling air tickets, managing bookings and other business lines.
• Encourage sales officers to up-sell AirAsia products that can be added to a flight ticket, such as insurance, meals, duty-free, merchandise, baggage and seat assignment.
• Meet the monthly team sales target and keep track of the weekly target, ensuring the team maximises every sales opportunity to increase revenue per booking.
• Contact potential or existing customers using scripts, answer questions about products and the company, understand customer needs and close sales.
• Listen to customers' needs to generate repeat sales and gather and document customer information, payment methods, purchases and reactions to products.
• Compile daily, weekly and monthly sales reports for management and keep track of and assist the recruitment headcount attendance for assigned outlets.
• Maintain outlet cleanliness to the minimum service level and act as the face of AirAsia at the outlet.
• Provide quality, timely customer service by handling customer questions, feedback and complaints professionally.
• Follow procedures to up-sell AirAsia Business Partner and Affiliate products and services, such as hotels, AirAsia Assist membership and PCR tests.
• Help customers learn how to use the system and where to find the Customer Experience team, and record customer interactions accurately.
• Stay current on products, services and industry news, participate in training and development, follow working procedures and SOPs, and work shift rotations including weekends and public holidays.
