Service Manager

About the role

The Service Manager is accountable for delivering service to customers profitably and for building and sustaining relationships with strategic partners, customers and internal stakeholders across local, regional and global levels. The role also manages the day-to-day operations of the Malaysia service teams, including technical field services, product maintenance, customer training and support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily work of operations and field teams, implement operational strategies and set and monitor KPIs
• Organise and develop teams, ensuring competence and motivation, and support and engage team members
• Manage manufacturing, installation, commissioning and maintenance of machines, keeping projects on time, within budget and to quality standards
• Oversee procurement, quality checks and logistics of parts from international vendors, and manage supply chain processes
• Set up maintenance schedules and enforce quality control and compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships and address operational concerns

Required profile

• At least 8 years of hands-on field service operation management across Peninsular Malaysia in a fast-paced technology environment
• Current role includes profit and loss responsibility
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Operations Management
• Proven track record of leading, motivating teams and resolving customer issues diplomatically under pressure

Required skills

• Advanced Excel; Power BI is an added advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Comfortable handling multiple projects and case resolutions at once
