Senior Wealth Banker

About the role

Hong Leong Bank is recruiting a Senior Wealth Banker. The role combines client acquisition and relationship building with clear monthly targets, and involves working with cross-functional teams and regional leadership to promote the bank's wealth management business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement client acquisition strategies and build a strong client portfolio.
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners, referral sources and industry networks to generate leads.
• Work with Regional Priority Banking Heads and Priority Banking Area Managers to identify business opportunities.
• Meet the targets set for the role.
• Acquire at least 2 High Net Worth (HWN) clients per month, each with a minimum AUM of RM300k.
• Refer RM1-2 million in volume in Wealth Products per month.
• Deposit RM2-3 million per month.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as BCB, SME, PFS and Sales Distribution to drive client growth and revenue.
• Support Regional Priority Banking Heads and the Head of Wealth Distribution in promoting the market presence of HLB Wealth Management.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics or a related field; CFA is an added advantage.
• Experience in banking with strong networking and marketing skills and a good understanding of the Malaysian marketplace.
• Good reputation in the market with a strong client network.
