Senior Transport & Distribution Network Operations Executive (Contract)

About the role

This contract position is responsible for overseeing transport operations and managing the distribution network for a country. The role ensures timely delivery of goods, coordinates with third‑party service providers, and maintains high safety and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound transport operations for bulk and packaged goods using multiple modes of transportation.
• Process SAP transactions such as Delivery Orders, TM Orders, Goods Receipts/Issues, and stock status changes.
• Monitor and improve performance of third‑party logistics providers, handling non‑conformance issues and participating in provider selection.
• Track product deliveries, coordinate order management, and ensure on‑time delivery to customers.
• Handle insurance claims and recovery processes in case of accidents.
• Oversee warehouse and tank terminal operations, providing solutions to business units and sales teams.
• Coach and train logistics service provider teams on warehouse processes and customer‑focus culture.
• Conduct internal audits, ensure zero major observations, and maintain safety/compliance standards across all service providers.
• Analyze KPI data from SAP, develop new performance metrics, and drive continuous cost and process improvements.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in transport management and warehouse operations.
• Ability to work in the India timezone (11 AM–8 PM MYT) and on Saturdays (with Sunday and one weekday off).
