Senior Logistics Officer – Inbound Logistics & Customs Liaison

About the role

As a Senior Logistics Officer you will oversee inbound logistics and customs processes, ensuring a seamless flow of materials from receipt to production. You will act as the primary liaison with government agencies and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage inbound logistics operations, including resource planning for priority tasks.
• Ensure smooth material flow from inbound receipt to production according to established processes.
• Support daily activity supervision, KPI monitoring, and reporting of deviations with corrective actions.
• Serve as the first‑level escalation point for operational, MHE, and system issues.
• Lead all customs‑related activities: declaration, clearance, AEO, hand‑carry shipments, bonded warehouse, FIZ, and related improvements.
• Maintain contact with agencies such as MITI, MBPP, SIRIM, MOF, and Customs for certifications, licences, and permits.
• Support SAP usage, procedural updates, on‑the‑job training, and knowledge sharing.
• Assist in internal and external audits, preparing documentation and ensuring audit readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in inbound logistics and customs operations.
• Strong understanding of customs regulations, compliance, and import/export processes.
• Proactive, result‑oriented mindset with excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience mentoring junior staff is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Familiarity with FMEA methodology.
