Senior Associate, Client Delivery (Nexus)

About the role

MUFG Investor Services, which provides asset servicing solutions to the global investment management industry, is hiring a Senior Associate for its Nexus Client Delivery team in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting to the Associate Director, the role sits within a fast-growing financial services company and is listed as hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a full range of fund accounting services, including NAV preparation, booking accruals, asset valuation and cash and portfolio reconciliations.
• Prepare capital calls, distributions and their allocation.
• Prepare fee schedules, including management fees and waterfalls, in line with fund documents.
• Prepare investor allocations for each NAV cycle so that capital transactions and P&L are booked and allocated correctly.
• Prepare NAV packages and other ad hoc deliverables defined in the service level agreements.
• Complete other ad hoc requests and projects.
• Communicate with internal MUFG teams and external clients to meet all deliverables and requests.
• Prepare and assist with audited financial statements, audit assistance and other regulatory services as applicable.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, or a qualified accountant or other relevant qualification is an asset.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting, audit or fund administration experience in real estate or property accounting.
• Strong accounting knowledge, especially consolidation of profit and loss and balance sheets.
• Able to communicate well with internal and external clients.

Required skills

• Strong computer skills, with willingness to adopt new technologies; proficiency in Microsoft Excel is an asset.
• Experience with accounting software; Yardi is an advantage.
