Associate Director, Genesis Portfolio Operations

About the role

MUFG Investor Services is looking for an Associate Director for Genesis Portfolio Operations in Kuala Lumpur. The role ensures that independent Net Asset Values (NAV) of investment funds are calculated correctly by operating and overseeing reconciliation and NAV review technology, delivering a full reconciled gross NAV to client operations teams or clients, including cash, positions, dividend and interest reconciliations. It is a hybrid position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects and on-board new clients, and oversee the new client onboarding process.
• Oversee many clients and deliverables, and lead projects and manage change.
• Manage Associates, Senior Associates and Junior Associate Directors, allocate tasks and ensure sufficient team coverage to meet SLAs.
• Monitor client SLAs, perform GAV reviews, review staff work and act as an escalation point for staff challenges.
• Ensure client knowledge and process knowledge are maintained across the team and that there is adequate bench strength.
• Provide excellent client service, respond to client queries promptly and efficiently, and assist in recruitment and new hire training.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting or an equivalent combination.
• At least 7 years of experience in investor services or asset management.
• At least 3 years of experience managing staff.
• A strong understanding of what drives the value of an investment fund, the products traded and the day-to-day operations between funds and their counterparties.
• A keen interest in learning new technologies and skills.
