Senior Assembly Engineer

About the role

Monolithic Power Systems is seeking a Senior Assembly Engineer to monitor and develop supplier quality across technology, quality, response, delivery and cost (TQRDC). The role focuses on ensuring high‑quality assembly processes and continuous improvement with our packaging suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Handle assembly quality issues, determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Conduct regular supplier audits, provide quarterly performance ratings and discuss quality/technical issues to drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor weekly assembly yield, defect modes and SPC data; check daily assembly WIP to maintain short cycle times and on‑time delivery.
• Perform risk assessments for wafer incoming issues and manage hold lots with assembly problems on the test floor.
• Generate and evaluate supplier quality reports, establish baselines and identify improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with FA engineers to identify assembly failures, address root causes and define corrective actions with assemblers.
• Assist in qualifying new suppliers, materials, packages and assembly processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Fluent English written and spoken.

Required skills

• Familiarity with general assembly processes and QA controls (8D CAR, FMEA, SPC).
• Knowledge of failure analysis (FA) and reliability concepts.
