Remote SAP FICO Support Engineer

About the role

Rimini Street, a global provider of enterprise software support for Oracle, SAP and VMware, is hiring a remote Support Engineer for SAP FI/CO and S/4HANA Financials. The role provides remote support to mission-critical SAP applications for global clients using Finance and Controlling (FICO) New GL, AR, AP and AA, diagnosing issues and delivering fixes in complex, highly configured environments.

Key responsibilities

• Solve complex customer issues through methodical troubleshooting of SAP applications
• Work closely with customers daily to understand their needs and support business change
• Support client customizations and share implementation and best practice advice
• Develop application break fixes for critical product defects and create scripts to fix data issues
• Manage one or more assigned accounts as a technical/functional advisor
• Provide hands-on assistance using proprietary tools in a test environment or via remote client connectivity
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing methods, diagnostic tools and processes in a 24x7x365 support organization, including flexible hours outside normal business time

Required profile

• 6+ years of relevant SAP experience, especially with SAP FICO modules
• 6+ years of direct support of application end-users in a corporate environment
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field
• Business-level fluency in English; Mandarin preferred
• Willingness to travel for short-term assignments and to work remotely from a home office

Required skills

• SAP ECC or S/4HANA Finance expert in core modules (New GL, AR, AP, AA); S/4HANA finance consultant experience is mandatory
• Technical-functional knowledge of S/4HANA finance (Universal Journal); FI localization and Controlling highly desirable
• ABAP for debugging and tracing; ABAP optimization highly desirable
• Experience with other FI modules (Cash Management, Group Reporting, Treasury) is a plus
• SAP certifications preferred; knowledge of maintenance, patching and SAP architecture
