Production Trainer

About the role

The Production Trainer will prepare operators to achieve required job results by delivering, monitoring and evaluating process training at Bosch’s Penang manufacturing plant. The role supports new‑product introductions, continuous improvement initiatives and ensures that training records are accurate and up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Operator Specific Skill (OSS) and Logistic Specific Skill (LSS) training on assigned workstations according to the Standardized Work Sequence.
• Maintain current operator training records in the Skill Matrix Database and schedule certification, recertification and re‑training activities.
• Deliver policy deployments, briefings and simulations (e.g., Central Directives, BPS, WAtS) and evaluate operator performance for certification.
• Develop and continuously improve training materials, including PowerPoint presentations and MPEG videos, to align with BPS requirements.
• Participate in new‑product training during engineering build, pre‑pilot and pilot runs to ensure OSS/LSS certification milestones are met.
• Perform line audits on the shop floor to verify compliance with Standardized Work Instructions and quality indicators.
• Maintain training facilities, ensure good housekeeping (7S), and uphold safety and security standards.
• Prepare accurate documentation such as training records, attendance sheets, OSS/OJT tracking and premium forms.
• Report non‑conforming issues in the training section to superiors and carry out any additional duties assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, Operations Management, Information Technology, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven ability to certify, retrain and lead operators to meet defined training standards.
• Strong support for continuous improvement activities such as Lean Line Design (LLD) and other Lean initiatives.
• Excellent discipline, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
