Product Engineer

About the role

The Product Engineer will be responsible for Bosch’s semiconductor products at the new PgP5 plant in Batu Kawan, Penang. You will lead a plant‑specific engineering team to ensure quality, cost and delivery targets are met while supporting product ramp‑up and ramp‑down activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the simultaneous engineering team (test engineers, process engineers) to achieve quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Implement cost‑saving measures and monitor yield targets.
• Analyze conspicuous lots, perform statistical and test data analysis, and define corrective actions.
• Participate in lead‑plant engineering meetings and represent plant interests.
• Coordinate new product releases, engineering trials, and sample production.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of failures, issue concessions, risk assessments and engineering change requests.
• Prepare and maintain plant‑specific product documentation.
• Drive containment, corrective actions and continuous improvement in case of quality issues.
• Report on plant KPIs and contribute to cost‑savings meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in semiconductor product engineering or a related manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional engineering teams and communicate effectively in plant‑level meetings.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on yield improvement and cost optimisation.
