Manager, Vision Care Account Management

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Manager, Vision Care Account Management to lead sales activities for contact lens and care products across pharmacy and optical channels in Malaysia. The role will develop and execute tactical sales plans, manage a team of independent optical and key‑account representatives, and drive growth in the Vision Care business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a nationwide sales team (6 independent optical reps and 3 key‑account reps) to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for contact lenses and related products.
• Develop and implement sales strategies and tactical plans for pharmacy chains and optical outlets, allocating resources and adjusting forecasts as needed.
• Coach, mentor and evaluate the sales team through field visits, performance appraisals and training initiatives.
• Manage relationships with business partners, distributors and key strategic customers to meet shared KPIs such as sales volume, inventory levels and promotional spend.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Marketing, Finance and Customer Service to address business opportunities and challenges.
• Control sales budgets, incentive plans and ensure accurate forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field (minimum).
• Preferred MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
• At least 5 years of sales supervision experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry, preferably with contact lens or eye‑care products.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing a multi‑disciplinary sales team.
