Lead Facilitator (Process Risk & Safety)

About the role

The Lead Facilitator will drive risk and safety assessment workshops across BV Malaysia and the SEA region, delivering high‑quality safety studies and training to clients in the process industries.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops such as HAZID, HAZOP, PHA, SIL, LOPA, Bow‑tie, SIMOPS/MOPO, ALARP, SOE/SOL, alarm rationalisation and related safety studies.
• Provide PSM, HAZID/HAZOP and SIL awareness training to clients and internal teams.
• Guide the use of software tools like PHA PRO, Bow‑Tie XP, exSILentia, SISuite and Total Energies GRIF.
• Supervise safety cases, safety reports, and review technical documents (P&IDs, cause‑effect diagrams, operating procedures, safety philosophies).
• Prepare and review workshop reports, recommendations, action registers and executive summaries to BV standards.
• Develop technical proposals, provide expert guidance on process and functional safety, and support business development activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of experience in refinery, petrochemical, LNG, offshore platforms, subsea, oil & gas, pipeline or related process industries.
• Strong background in operations, commissioning, process engineering, process safety management, asset integrity and functional safety.
• Hands‑on facilitation experience with HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, alarm rationalisation, HAZID, PHA and SOE/SOL workshops.
• Relevant certifications such as TUV Functional Safety Engineer/Expert, TUV Certified HAZOP Leader, Chartered Engineer (preferred), CCPSC, NEBOSH, IChemE, IEC 61511/61508 training.
• Must be a Malaysian citizen.
