About the role

Encora is looking for a mid-level Java Spring Boot developer with hands-on experience in the banking or financial services domain to join its Kuala Lumpur team. The ideal candidate builds scalable microservices-based applications and works comfortably in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot.
  • Build and enhance microservices-based applications.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and optimise application performance.
  • Take part in code reviews and follow development best practices.

Required profile

  • 5-7 years of hands-on Java development experience.
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

  • Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
  • REST APIs, Java and SQL databases.
  • Git, Maven/Gradle and CI/CD pipelines.
