Intern, Product Innovation

About the role

Santan Food Services Sdn. Bhd., based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is offering an internship in Product Innovation within the F&B industry. The intern joins the team to learn and contribute across several key areas, from new product development to product launches and quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

• New Product Development: help manage the full lifecycle of new products, from concept to launch across airline menus, B2B channels and Santan Cafes.
• Market Analysis & Planning: support strategic planning by analysing sales data, market trends and customer feedback to schedule and prioritise the product development calendar.
• Quality Assurance & Testing: take part in product tasting and testing sessions on the ground and on flights, and evaluate existing product lines for consistency and quality.
• Cross-functional coordination: act as a liaison between the Product Innovation team and departments such as Marketing, Operations and Procurement to finalise products.
• Launch preparation: coordinate food photoshoots, write menu descriptions and prepare training materials for operational teams such as flight attendants.
• Performance tracking: organise product trial events, record customer feedback and help review post-launch sales metrics.
• Regulatory compliance: support the QA team in documenting food safety and quality specifications.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food Science/Technology, or Business/Marketing with a focus on CPG or F&B.
• Availability for an internship of six months or longer.
