Fullstack Senior Developer, APAC

About the role

Join Zurich’s new Edge Insurance Platform project as a Fullstack Senior Developer in the Asia‑Pacific region. You will build and test web applications, APIs and integrations that enable highly automated, end‑to‑end insurance processing.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Design and develop full‑stack applications using Next.js and NestJS.
• Create responsive, secure frontend components following modern UI/UX standards.
• Implement server‑side functionality, API routes, middleware and BFF patterns with NestJS.
• Develop REST/JSON APIs, micro‑services and domain‑centric integrations.
• Integrate with internal Zurich systems and external partner platforms using synchronous and asynchronous patterns.
• Utilise AWS services such as S3 and SQS, and work with PostgreSQL for data storage.
• Maintain API documentation with Swagger/OpenAPI and perform unit, integration and end‑to‑end testing.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional programming experience.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript, Next.js and NestJS.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS components (S3, SQS) and PostgreSQL.
• Proven ability to design and develop REST/JSON APIs, using Swagger and Postman.
• Familiarity with SOAP, JavaScript design patterns, JIRA and SonarQube.
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
