Executive, Compliance Operations

About the role

Support the Compliance Operations function by delivering accurate regulatory and management reporting, promoting an ethics‑based culture, and coordinating governance activities across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain reports, dashboards and papers for Bank Negara Malaysia, Management, the Board and governance committees.
• Coordinate Group and Regional compliance initiatives, including bi‑monthly reporting, risk and maturity assessments, and the Zurich Compliance Program review.
• Manage compliance training and awareness activities, track completion and provide status updates.
• Support whistleblowing channel maintenance, documentation and follow‑up actions.
• Maintain data quality in the COSMO compliance system and monitor KPIs.
• Allocate ~20% of time to Compliance Assurance tasks such as planning, documentation and evidence management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Compliance or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, governance, insurance, takaful or financial services (internship or graduate experience acceptable).
• Strong written communication, analytical and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and able to handle confidential information.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with reporting dashboards, workflow tools and automation or AI‑enabled productivity tools (advantageous).
