Document Controller – Construction Projects

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Document Controller to support industrial construction and highly regulated facility projects in Malaysia. The role involves managing project documentation, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting multidisciplinary teams on site.

Required profile

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Architecture, Occupational Safety & Health, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ACC/CDE administration or comparable document control roles.
• Experience with industrial construction, manufacturing, semiconductor, cleanroom, data‑centre, pharmaceutical or similar high‑regulation projects.
• Knowledge of Malaysian construction practices, statutory requirements, building regulations and authority approval processes.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and government authorities.
• Willingness to be based at the project site in Selangor and travel as required.

Required skills

• Familiarity with project delivery types such as warehouse conversion, brownfield development, fit‑out works, commissioning and operational readiness.
• Strong understanding of the construction project lifecycle from design through handover and close‑out.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams covering civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, process, HSE, quality and commercial functions.
• Good command of written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with project management and engineering software is an advantage.
• Awareness of international engineering and project management standards, including FIDIC contract principles.
