Balance of Plant Mechanical Engineer (Pahang/Johor-Based)

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced Balance of Plant Mechanical Engineer to support large‑scale power generation and infrastructure projects in Pahang or Johor, Malaysia.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Power or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in power generation, transmission, renewable energy, utility, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with CCGT, thermal power plants, renewable energy projects, EPC, Owner's Engineer, construction, commissioning, operations or maintenance.
• Strong understanding of engineering design, construction methodologies, project execution and site operations.
• Familiarity with engineering codes, industry standards, technical specifications and quality requirements.
• Excellent coordination, communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and travel to project sites as required.
