Therapy Area Specialist

About the role

The Therapy Area Specialist will act as a field‑based marketing expert supporting oncology customers across Malaysia. Leveraging deep disease, treatment and brand knowledge, the role drives strategic discussions, educational programs and market‑shaping activities in close partnership with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Engage oncology physicians, pharmacists and nurses to deliver product education, speaker programs and peer‑to‑peer clinical experience sharing.
• Gather and document customer insights, contribute to key decision‑maker mapping and support brand strategy development.
• Assist marketing in creating promotional materials, conference content and event planning aligned with HQ guidelines.
• Provide internal disease and treatment training to cross‑functional teams and onboard new customer‑facing members.
• Collaborate with Professional Sales Representatives to ensure timely response to customer information needs.

Required profile

• Degree in life sciences (preferably pharmacy) with at least two years of experience engaging healthcare professionals.
• Strong understanding of the Malaysian healthcare environment, regulatory landscape and ability to translate complex clinical information for diverse audiences.
• Proven track record of building long‑term customer relationships and delivering training or mentorship to teams.
• Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional settings and prioritize information to solve ecosystem challenges.
