Associate Director – Clinical Monitoring

About the role

The Associate Director (CRAM) will lead a team of Clinical Research Associates to ensure high‑quality monitoring of clinical trials, compliance with regulations, and strong site performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of 6‑14 CRAs, including work allocation, performance appraisal, and career development.
• Provide input for capacity planning and forecast CRA resource needs.
• Ensure consistency of processes and protocol implementation across the country.
• Resolve site or CRA operational issues and escalate performance concerns to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with country PLMs, GCTO partners, and local stakeholders to align monitoring functions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical research, with at least 3 years monitoring clinical trials.
• Proven people‑management skills, including coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution.
• Fluent in the local language and business‑proficient in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong knowledge of ICH/GCP regulations, Good Documentation Practices, and relevant SOPs.
