Technical Director, Transmission & Distribution, Asia

About the role

The Technical Director, Transmission & Distribution (T&D) for Asia will lead technical excellence across the region, shaping strategy, design standards and emerging technology adoption for large‑scale power infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and technical oversight for T&D design, best practices, emerging technologies and market trends.
• Lead feasibility studies, FEED, PMC and detailed design phases, reviewing and approving design documents, specifications and engineering calculations.
• Engage with OEMs, Owner’s Engineers, contractors and authorities, representing the company in high‑level technical discussions and project reviews.
• Support business development activities, client meetings and bid preparation, collaborating with regional Energy leaders to grow the T&D portfolio.
• Develop project plans from early business development through final delivery and mentor junior engineers to build a high‑performance team.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in managing or designing T&D projects, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership or director role.
• Proven track record on large‑scale T&D projects and ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams.
• Strong project management, presentation, communication and report‑writing skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and able to travel internationally on short notice.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and interpersonal abilities, with a motivated, energetic attitude.
