Supply Chain Modeling & Optimization Specialist

About the role

The Supply Chain Modeling & Optimization Specialist will support BASF's digital transformation by designing and implementing Control Tower solutions for overseas delivery services. Working closely with solution architects and operational teams, you will help streamline end‑to‑end logistics and improve supply‑chain resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tactical support for door‑to‑door delivery processes and monitor exceptions across all supply‑chain stages.
• Conduct disruption monitoring, develop what‑if scenarios, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support crisis‑management events with impact analysis and preventive measures.
• Perform market analysis to identify trends, new ports, carriers, and transport modes.
• Design, configure, and roll out Control Tower digital tools in collaboration with solution architects.
• Translate customer requirements and use cases into functional specifications for the Control Tower.
• Lead change‑management activities and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supply‑chain operations and digital tool implementation.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive process improvements.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and change management.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
