Structured Products Manager

About the role

Hong Leong Bank is looking for a Structured Products Manager to lead its structured products business. The role covers product strategy, due diligence, business relationships with counterparties, product governance and collaboration with the Wealth Marketing and Investment Counsellor teams.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the products strategy and business plans to achieve financial targets.
• Carry out due diligence and product evaluation for on-boarding, and manage relationships with Global Market and other counterparties to secure quality products in line with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Wealth Marketing team to formulate the product marketing strategy and give feedback on research developments in the local financial services market.
• Ensure all legal, compliance and risk management requirements are met internally and externally.
• Work with Investment Counsellors so that frontline staff complete formal initial and ongoing training.
• Update product governance, programs and policies and improve the sales process while meeting regulatory requirements.
• Work with the Wealth project team to define user requirements for system enhancements that improve customer experience and productivity.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Banking, Investment, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Wealth Management or the financial/investment field.
• Professional investment-related certification is an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills: personable, approachable and collaborative.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
