Social Media Manager (Freelancer) – BMW Malaysia

About the role

A Social Media Executive is sought to manage and support the day-to-day social media activities for BMW Malaysia. The role covers content planning, social media management, event coverage, reporting and influencer engagement, working closely with internal creative teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the YouTube, Facebook and Instagram accounts for BMW Malaysia and post creative assets
• Plan monthly and quarterly content, ideate engagement angles and execute approved content on time
• Work with the creative team to develop assets, obtain approvals and manage client expectations
• File and track all assets and content for billing purposes and keep links in bio up to date
• Supervise social event coverage and channel postings from up to 3 days on site, liaising with the external videographer team, art director and video editor
• Provide monthly reports on asset performance, post-campaign reports and yearly recaps with recommendations
• Develop influencer campaign strategies, propose and review influencers, manage briefs and review work before publishing

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Media or a related field
• 5-6 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, content management or account servicing preferred
• Strong communication, coordination and organisational skills
• Comfortable working with clients, creative teams, influencers and external production partners
• Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once and to support on-site event coverage when required

• Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and social media content formats
