Service Technician – Elevator & Escalator Maintenance

About the role

KONE Malaysia is entering a growth phase and is looking for a Service Technician to join its Service Maintenance team in Petaling Jaya. You will work with a small group of Field Service Specialists handling fault calls, performing elevator and escalator repairs, and servicing assigned maintenance runs.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out lift and escalator maintenance, repairs and installations.
• Provide accurate, real‑time back‑reporting of work performed to ensure correct customer notifications.
• Maintain excellent relationships with customers and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Manage daily workload independently with minimal supervision.
• Ensure safety standards are met at all times.
• Provide training or coaching to nominated personnel when required.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in the elevator and escalator industry.
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Service‑oriented mindset and willingness to travel.
• Own transport and a valid motorbike licence.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic digital skills to operate KONE’s mobile system.
