Resident Engineer – Civil & Structural

About the role

As a Resident Engineer (Civil & Structural) at Aurecon, you will ensure that construction activities on‑site align with design intent, quality standards and project timelines. You will work on high‑impact industrial and institutional developments such as data centres and complex structural systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions to site issues and coordinate with discipline leads.
• Oversee site activities, give technical advice on construction and design matters, and review contractor drawings.
• Ensure compliance of works with approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor daily construction activities, conduct regular site inspections and verify material quality.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections and progress, and attend project meetings.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in civil and structural supervision.
• Strong knowledge of data centre construction, precast structures, structural steel and local construction practices.
• Registered graduate engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a relevant university degree.
• Willingness to work on a fixed‑term contract of one year.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM (preferred).
• Technical expertise in civil and structural engineering, including data centre, precast and steel structures.
