Service Engineer – Repair & Maintenance

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking a hands‑on Service Engineer to join its new semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan, Penang. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and testing equipment used in the final testing of semiconductor and sensor components.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on semiconductor final‑test machines and supporting equipment such as work‑piece carriers, trays, boards, and modules.
• Disassemble, replace faulty parts, and reassemble equipment to restore functionality.
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Document all repair and maintenance activities accurately.
• Train and support technicians in repair procedures.
• Recommend improvements to maintenance processes and equipment reliability.

Required profile

• Practical, hands‑on mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Experience in mechanical and/or electronics repair.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Commitment to safety regulations and procedural compliance.
