Senior Trade Compliance Operations Executive – AP

About the role

BASF is looking for a Senior Trade Compliance Operations Executive to support its Asia‑Pacific businesses. The role ensures that all BASF entities comply with import, export, sanctions and screening regulations, protecting the company’s licence to operate across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Execute trade‑compliance activities for BASF companies, maintaining daily operation reports and reviewing performance against predefined criteria.
• Analyse regulatory data and documentation to guarantee database integrity and ongoing monitoring.
• Support internal customers and stakeholders in issue resolution and service delivery.
• Monitor regulatory changes, assess business impact and implement compliance actions using BASF digital tools.
• Prepare KPI reports, cost charging, non‑conformance monitoring and drive continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma and digitalisation.
• Act as focal point for internal and external audits, conducting quality checks and preventive measures.
• Maintain and update process documentation to ensure knowledge retention and standardisation.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Services and Technical Experts to enforce compliance policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
• Significant experience in trade compliance, import/export control or related regulatory functions.
• Proven ability to work across multiple countries in the Asia‑Pacific region.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
