Senior Support Engineer, SAP FI/CO

About the role

Rimini Street is hiring a Senior Support Engineer, SAP FI/CO, for a remote position based in Selangor, Malaysia, reporting to the Regional Manager. The role provides remote support for mission-critical SAP applications to global clients who use Finance and Controlling (FICO) New GL, AR, AP and AA. It calls for both functional and technical expertise, including ABAP debugging, to diagnose and deliver fixes in complex, integrated environments.

Key responsibilities

• Solve complex customer issues through methodical troubleshooting of SAP applications
• Work with customers daily to understand their needs, support business change and deliver a high-quality experience
• Support client customizations and share implementation and best-practice advice
• Create application break fixes for critical product defects
• Write scripts to identify, analyze and correct data issues
• Act as technical/functional advisor for one or more assigned accounts
• Use proprietary tools in a test environment or via remote client connectivity
• Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, to support a 24x7x365 support organization
• Share knowledge, diagnostics and processes with the virtual team

Required profile

• 10+ years of relevant SAP experience, especially with SAP FICO modules
• 10+ years of direct support of application end-users in a corporate environment
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field
• Business-level fluency in English; ready to travel for short-term assignments
• Track record in SAP implementations, roll-outs or application support

Required skills

• SAP ECC or S/4HANA Finance expert in core modules (New GL, AR, AP, AA)
• Mandatory S/4HANA finance consultant experience; FI localization highly desirable
• ABAP debugging and tracing; ABAP optimization highly desirable
• Knowledge of SAP architecture, maintenance and patching mechanics
• Customer-facing communication and problem-solving
