Senior Management Accountant

About the role

Cavotec develops electrification and automation technologies for ports and industrial operations, with a global presence and over 50 years of engineering experience. As Senior Management Accountant in Kuala Lumpur, you ensure the accuracy, integrity and compliance of all financial and accounting activities while supporting business performance through timely reporting and analysis. The role covers the full spectrum of accounting operations, from general ledger to statutory compliance, and acts as a key partner to internal teams and external advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Process business transactions in accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets and general ledger accounting (Business Central)
• Monitor and reconcile customer invoicing, including large projects and milestones, run supplier payments, send customer reminders and handle intercompany invoicing
• Reconcile general ledger and subledger accounts and intercompany balances
• Prepare VAT and yearly tax returns, support transfer pricing files and prepare local statutory statements and audits
• Provide statistics for cities and municipalities as applicable
• Support cash flow and EBIT forecasts and economic analysis

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar position (accounting, closing, tax)
• Good English skills

Required skills

• Financial accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Local GAAP and tax and VAT knowledge
• IFRS knowledge preferred
• Excellent knowledge of a major ERP system (Business Central or MS Dynamics preferred)
