Senior Incident Coordinator

About the role

Deriv is looking for a Senior Incident Coordinator in Cyberjaya to lead response to critical and major IT incidents, from declaration to resolution. The role owns the incident until it is fixed and prevents recurrence, using AI-assisted tools to correlate logs and generate summary drafts so the focus stays on judgment calls. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead response to critical and major IT incidents, making the triage calls on blast radius, escalation path and who needs to be on the bridge
• Keep technical and non-technical stakeholders aligned while the situation is moving
• Run post-incident reviews focused on what changes, track every action to closure, and turn incident data into meaningful trend reports for leadership
• Use AI-assisted tooling to correlate logs and monitoring signals and to generate incident summaries and spot recurring patterns
• Apply the same approach to problem and change management so every action is auditable and repeatable
• Maintain and sharpen runbooks, escalation paths and documentation as living infrastructure
• Mentor junior team members in incident handling and calm communication under pressure

Required profile

• 4 to 8 years in incident management, ITSM or production operations, including time coordinating live incidents
• Ability to make good calls with incomplete information and to explain your reasoning clearly to peers and executives
• Treats ITIL as discipline, not paperwork, and uses AI-assisted analysis by default
• Bonus points: certified Incident Manager or equivalent, a major incident you coordinated, a runbook improvement you drove, and experience applying AI or automation to incident detection, triage or post-incident analysis
