Senior Associate, Genesis Portfolio Operations

About the role

MUFG Investor Services is hiring a Portfolio Operations (PO) Senior Associate in Kuala Lumpur to help ensure that investment funds can calculate their independent Net Asset Values (NAV). The role operates and oversees reconciliation and NAV review technology so that a fully reconciled gross NAV is delivered to client operations teams or clients, covering cash, positions, dividends and interest. The position is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Review the work of Associates, ensuring tasks are completed and issues are properly investigated, and act as lead for at least one client, owning the day-to-day relationship.
• Ensure client transaction processing is complete, corporate actions are booked correctly and security pricing is accurate.
• Review portfolio pricing, confirming equities, options, futures, bonds and OTC derivatives are priced correctly, gathering prices from vendors such as Bloomberg and ICE when needed.
• Perform GAV reviews and liaise with custodians, brokers and other counterparties on break resolutions and process improvements.
• Provide client service to internal and external clients, respond to queries promptly and adhere strictly to client SLAs.
• Support new client onboarding, take part in projects and manage change, and oversee reconciliation and data transmission technology.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting or an equivalent combination.
• At least 2 years of experience in investor services or asset management.
• Strong understanding of what drives the value of an investment fund, the products traded and the day-to-day operations between a fund and its counterparties.
• Keen interest in learning new technologies and skills.
