SAP FICO Support Engineer (Remote Malaysia)

About the role

Rimini Street, a global provider of enterprise software support and managed services for Oracle, SAP and VMware, is hiring a Support Engineer, SAP FICO & S/4HANA Financials. The role provides remote-based support for mission-critical SAP applications to a global customer support team, covering Finance and Controlling (FICO) New GL, AR, AP and AA. It is a hybrid position based in the Selangor or Penang office and reports to the Sr. Director of SAP Delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Solve complex customer issues through methodical troubleshooting based on deep knowledge of SAP functionality and technology.
• Work closely with customers daily to understand their needs, support business change and deliver a high-quality experience.
• Support client customizations and share implementation and best-practice advice.
• Create application break fixes for critical product defects.
• Write scripts to identify, analyze and correct data issues.
• Act as technical/functional advisor for one or more assigned accounts.
• Use proprietary tools in a test environment or via remote client connectivity.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, to cover a 24x7x365 support organization.
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing methods, diagnostic tools and processes, and collaborate in a virtual team.

Required profile

• 6+ years of relevant SAP experience, particularly with SAP FICO modules.
• 6+ years of direct support of application end-users in a corporate environment.
• Track record in SAP implementations, roll-outs or application support.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
• Fluent English; Mandarin preferred.
• Willingness to travel for short-term assignments and to work remotely from a home office.

Required skills

• SAP ECC or S/4HANA Finance expert in core modules (New GL, AR, AP, AA); mandatory S/4HANA finance consultant experience.
• Technical-functional knowledge of S/4HANA finance (Universal Journal, etc.); FI localization highly desirable.
• ABAP development and debugging skills; ABAP optimization highly desirable.
• Preferred: SAP certifications, knowledge of maintenance/patching and SAP architecture, and experience with localizations and global implementations.
