Project Engineer - Cranes & Lifting

About the role

EnerMech is a specialist service company delivering safe, integrated solutions for complex energy projects, covering Energy Solutions, Infrastructure & Industrial Solutions and Lifting Solutions. It is hiring a Project Engineer for Cranes & Lifting in Kuala Lumpur, based on site, within the Project Management department. The engineer delivers assigned projects on time and within budget, controls deliverables and costs, and acts as the client representative for work scope implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver work scopes from initial enquiry to final account, working alone and in multi-discipline project teams.
• Manage and communicate with third-party suppliers, subcontractors and EnerMech service departments.
• Carry out onshore and offshore site surveys and lead site work scopes where appropriate.
• Maintain schedules, chase progress and report on costs, risks and schedule impacts.
• Collate project documents such as tenders, costings, plans, schedules, methodologies and close-out documentation.
• Ensure materials, personnel and equipment are available and dispatched on time.
• Draft and issue project change documentation and control documentation to company and client standards.
• Prepare pre-job and de-brief briefings and handle purchase requisitions accurately.

Required profile

• Essential: Higher National Diploma in a recognised engineering discipline or equivalent, with a willingness to pursue further education.
• Preferred: Engineering degree or similar qualification, project management qualification, and experience.
• Good organisational and time management skills, meeting deadlines, and effective communication.
• Ability to interpret standards and procedures, make complex decisions with team support and act professionally.
