Project Delivery Manager - Malaysia

About the role

Global Switch is looking for a Project Delivery Manager based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The role is accountable for delivering complex, M&E-intensive construction projects from inception through handover, combining strategic leadership with hands-on project management. It covers feasibility, design, procurement and construction phases, with rigorous governance, cost control and programme assurance, and stakeholder engagement across engineering, operations and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management from inception through construction and close-out, including feasibility studies, business case development, commercial modelling, board paper preparation, design, planning, tendering, contract negotiation and operational handover.
• Deliver accurate monthly Group reports in standardised formats for the Executive Committee on progress, risks and performance metrics.
• Direct and manage site-based professional teams, contractors and consultants to meet scope, budget and schedule.
• Recruit, develop and lead internal project teams, setting objectives and conducting performance reviews.
• Apply group-wide processes to maintain cost, quality and programme control, and maintain governance, reporting and compliance including gateway reviews and board-level documentation.
• Align construction with M&E and connectivity requirements and comply with local permitting regulations and sustainability accreditations such as BREEAM.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing complex, M&E-intensive projects in live critical environments.
• Advanced capability in project planning, scheduling and reporting for large-scale programmes.
• Deep understanding of building systems, regulatory frameworks and technical standards.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local Health & Safety regulations and Designers' Risk Assessment processes.
• Proven ability to influence and build trust with internal teams, external partners and senior stakeholders.
