Product Manager - Digital Platforms

About the role

AirAsia Aviation Management Services is looking for a Product Manager in Sepang, Selangor, to own the product backlog and drive the evolution of AirAsia's digital platforms. The role works with stakeholders to deliver a consistent experience across booking, check-in, chatbot, payments, ancillaries and communications, and guides Agile teams from concept through production.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualize, define, design and deliver the product backlog so that customers get a device-, channel- and medium-independent experience.
• Work with the software engineering team from idea and prototyping to engineering and production.
• Provide vision and direction to Agile teams, create requirements and stories, and keep the backlog well groomed.
• Plan and prioritize features, assess value and prioritize stories, epics and themes in line with product strategy.
• Define product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities, and lead release planning and delivery expectations.
• Mitigate impediments affecting sprint and release goals, and research the market, users and competitors while keeping up with Agile/Scrum best practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; 5+ years of overall experience, including at least 2 years in product management, preferably in e-commerce.
• Software engineering experience is a must; prior experience managing high-traffic e-commerce sites (500k+ visitors per day) is required.
• Deep understanding of APIs, microservices, data science, UI/UX, JavaScript and/or Python.
• Strong grasp of cloud services (Google Cloud preferred, such as App Engine, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Monitoring, BigQuery).
• In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles.
• Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills, plus strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Prior travel domain experience is a big plus.
